I have black hair and I want blue hightlights but it won't take, is there any tips?

with your hair being black the only way to have a vibrant blue is to pre-lighten(bleach) the hair first. then apply the blue, on the pre-lightend hair. since this is a two step process and does require using bleach (that if not used properly can damage the hair badly) you should call around and get prices and go to a salon for this. if this still isnt an option have a friend do it. you wont have to lighten ur hair to a blonde so it wont have to be on there long, its better to take it off too early then leave it on too long. and don't worry it will have a orange tent after the lightern but will go away once u put blue on it.

IT WILL YOU PROBABLY HAVE TO BLEACH IT BEFORE YOU DIE IT AND IT WILL PROBABLY WORK

I have black hair and I want blue hightlights but it won't take, is there any tips?

Black is a hard color. Have you tried bleaching it down to a lighter color and then putting in the blue lowlights..not a hairdresser but I think bleaching them to a lighter color will work,...

I have black hair and I want blue hightlights but it won't take, is there any tips?

If you're trying to do a darker blue or regular blue then of course it wont take. try electric or baby blue becuz those are the only ones that will work in black hair.

You have to bleach the place you want the higlights, then put in the blue. But the blue will fade quickly to green, and then to platinum. So, unless you'll be dying your hair a lot, I don't really suggest getting blue, red, green, etc.

bleach the part u want blue first it doesnt have to be like bleach blonde just lighter than the blue u want so the color will take to it.

I need some tips on getting nits out of hair. Can you help me?

My two had this problem a few years back and I feel for you. There is only one way to kill lice. Comb and comb and comb some more after applying an OTC lice %26amp; nit remover. Then clean clean clean. You'll need to wash all bedding, coats, etc in hot water and dry on your highest setting, and what can't be washed put in a sealed plastic garbage bag for two weeks (starve the little buggers!). For maintenance, rinse with vinegar once a week after your normal shampoo and conditioner routine (I don't know why this works, my grandma told me that's what they did in the "olden days" and it seems to help). Also, blow drying kills them as well- the heat fries them. During the school year, I also throw coats in the dryer on high for 1/2 hour after the girls get home from school (the heat thing again). Good luck and be sure to take your vitamins! You have a lot of work ahead of you!!

Combing the hair with the nit comb and then washing with a lice rid shampoo,an additional help aid is use a blow dryer as hot as you can stand it to dry your hair. Report It

Try going to the RX store and find lice remover kit. That might do.

Sounds like head lice......go to your local pharmacy and get a kit. It comes with everything you need.

By the way---if you do have head lice you'll have to go thru the house and clean EVERYTHING!

I need some tips on getting nits out of hair. Can you help me?

i,ve never used any chemicals on my daughters hair . when i wash her hair i put the nit comb through it with conditioner on then repeat it when she gets out of the bath, i use a sewing needle to get the tiny ones out of the comb and continue until the comb comes clear. then repeat the process every other day , they,ll be gone within nine days, good luck

There are several "kits" on the market that remove lice and their eggs (nits) you can buy those and give them a go. Also you can smear mayonnaise, not miracle whip, on the head and leave it sit for half an hour. This will smother the nits and make them come out easier. It HAS to be real mayo though. Your best bet is the kits. They are designed to remove them safely and quickly.

The best way to get nits out of hair is the time consuming way of combing through the hair with a nit comb. Then going through the hair again, and pulling out nits using your finger nails. Also, saturating the hair in rubbing alcohol will dry any nits out that are left. It will also kill any living lice left in the hair. If you use rubbing alcohol, let it dry in the hair. Yes, it stinks, but it's safe. You'll need to use conditioner on the hair, because the alcohol will dry it out if you don't. Pour rubbing alcohol on the hair once a day for three days. Rubbing alcohol kills what you've left behind. This is the way we use to exterminate lice. It works better than anything else we've tried, it's safe, and it's a lot cheaper.

Bring a brush and a comb into the shower with you. Wash your hair then put conidtioner in it, while the conitioner is in your hair brusn your hair thoruoghly then take comb through your hair while you are rinsing the conditioner out. You can stop combing you hair for a few seconds to make sure the conditioner is completely out of your hair but you want to start combing on it again before you start to dry it. After you take the towel and dry your hair use the brush and brush hair thoroughly again. you may want to brush your hair one or two more times during the day to keep the nits out. This should help. To keep the nits from coming back you will have to continue this several times for about two or more weeks.

After using a shampoo for killing Lice and their eggs, use Egg %26amp; Nit Combing Gel. Definitely use a metal comb, the plastic ones don't work well.

To check regularly for Lice, which lay nits, buy a "LiceGuard Robi Comb" Electronic Lice Comb. It stops when it catches a live lice and kills it without hurting you. Then all you do is brush it out of the comb. It costs about 25.00, but well worth it.

What are some tips and advice to not make hair?

Invest in a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner duo. Also, invest in a good deep penetrating conditioner. Joico's K-Pak is awesome stuff. Use it once or twice a week and leave it on for 10-20 minutes. It will penetrate your hair and keep it thoroughly hydrated and moisturized.

dark eyeliner

and for the hair... i would put crazy highlights in it or extensions like pink, blue, red, or purple and get your hair cut really edgy. But this is just me and my style.... u may not like it or u may like it.... it all just depends on your own personal style.

Fashion tips and anything helpful to kno about fashion, and what to do with medium lenght hair?

for fashion- it really depends what you're into. just wear what you like and what looks good on you. get some girly magazines that will have some style tips and give you some cool ideas. I recommend cosmogirl and seventeen.

medium length hair- also depends, is it curly, straight, wavy? thick or thin, frizzy? flat?

if you can work with anything, get a curling iron and/or flat iron so you can have it different ways every day. pigtails are also cute with that length of hair, but only if its straight. just mess around with it and if you get too bored you can always dye it!

Fashion tips and anything helpful to kno about fashion, and what to do with medium lenght hair?
