Chlorine and my hair?

I am constantly in the pool. I was wondering if anyone had any hair tips that I could use to keep the chlorine, and sun from damaging my hair. I always rinse my hair before getting in the pool, my stylist told me that it will help keep the chlorine from soaking in..but I need more help than that. I will take any suggestions...thanks.

Well I have been on a swim team since I was in 2nd grade and I am currently in 8th so I have had the same battle with chlorine. The thing that works for me the best is mixing baking soda and shampoo. Rinse it out then shampoo again but without the baking soda. Then condition. I also use Paul MItchell Three shampoo. It is specially designed to get out chlorine. Hope this helps!

leave-in conditioner is good. there's also certain products that help protect ur hair from chlorine/sun

My daughter swam for high school. By the time the season was over,her hair was a wreck. One thing you can do is wet your hair and put a good conditioner in it before going into the pool. Rinse your hair when you are finished swimming. Wear hats when you are lounging in the sun. When the season is over you'll have to get your hair demineralized to get it back into shape. Have fun!!!

Well the first step is obviously to wear a cap, get a silicone one though, it doesn't hurt to take off after swimming. Also, there's a shampoo I like to use during swim season, its called Ultra Swim and you can get it at Ulta..

when you get out of the pool wash your hair %26amp; use a little baking soda with your shampoo on you hair. this will take the clorine out of your hair.

I would highly recommend washing your hair with Shampoo Three by Paul Mitchell every time you get out of the pool. If your swimming in a outdoor pool I would recommend Sol Perfection Beach Protectant by KMS it is a water resistant sun protection cream. Most UV protectants arn't water resistant and do you no good if your in a pool

I swim every day in our pool. I use a leave in conditioner that has UV protection. after you rinse your hair apply it. After swimming wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo and use a moisturizing conditioner. you should have no problem. I color my hair a medium brown color and i have no problems. My hair is soft and no dried out at all.
