Any information on the right financial institution for the loan? Any tips on how to go about the approach?

Interested in opening a high end hair salon in NY. First time business owner. Need a business loan. Any tips?

The easiest will be to go to the bank where you already have an existing relationship.

Some banks extend what they call "small business lines of credit" often through credit cards. Those are easier to get and can be based on your credit history alone. They typically are up to $100,000. For example, Wachovia's has various business lines of credits http://www.wachovia.com/small_biz/page/0... Their business line of credit can even be approved overnight,

However, if you're applying for a loan and if it is a big amount, banks and even the Small Business Administration may consider other factors aside from your business credit:

- A business plan explaining what the business is

- Your background and experience in the business -- in my experience, this is KEY in the eyes of the bank because they want to make sure that you know what you are doing and that you can make the business work. If you don't have any experience with the business, have someone on board that knows the business to give banks assurance that someone will guide you

- Your credit factors because it shows your dependability and how well you handle credit. They will do a credit check on you and poor credit history may be frowned upon, or even reason for the disapproval of your loan application

- Your collateral. Banks, even SBA guaranteed loans, want the borrower to show collateral. They want to be guaranteed that somewhere somehow they can get payment from you

- Condition or terms of loans. Banks would want to know three important things: "How much money are you requesting? What will it be used for? and For how long will it be needed?" Banks oftentimes prefer to approve loans for items that can be identified, has lasting value, and can be repossessed and sold if things fail.

Aside from banks I suggest you consider microloan providers. They typically fund up to $30K Read about the SBA Microloan Program http://www.sba.gov/financing/sbaloan/mic...

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but have to keep cutting because it starts to look like a mess.

If your trying to let your hair grow out you are going to have to stop cutting so much off. Trim your hair every 4-6wks, and don't take but approx. 1/2" off at those times( unless your hair is damaged, and you trusted stylist feels otherwise) Maintain good environment on your scalp, a proper diet, and get plenty of exercise. Good luck.

Amen! Same problem here. And my answer: Experiment! It's amazing what you'll discover. Try a wide variety of shampoos, conditioners, hairsprays, etc... And have fun!

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but have to keep cutting because it starts to look like a mess. Any tips?

Get a trim every 6 weeks. Your hair will grow in between. When I was growing out my hair, I kept it up in a bun most of the time to keep the moisture.. it helps hair grow. I always wet my hair before I style it- it's easier that way for me. Be careful not to brush wet hair because it breaks. Use a deep conditioner once per week. Style it into a bun while it's wet and alternate with a ponytail for a few months. My hair is down to my lower back. It took a year. It was cut to my shoulder blades.

Good luck.

You have to get through the messy stage. The best news is the hairstyles these days seem messy. You could use headbands and ponytails since it is summer.

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but have to keep cutting because it starts to look like a mess. Any tips?

It might look messy if you're not conditioning it enough for your hair type. Try a hot oil treatment.

Layers keep hair from looking shaggy. Mousse does wonders to keep in-between lengths from falling out of place until it gets long enough to do something with them.

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but have to keep cutting because it starts to look like a mess. Any tips?

when it gets to that point (when you feel like it looks so bad you HAVE to cut it) wait 2 weeks.

i understand that it's easier said than done, but in 2 weeks it will get past that nasty stage.

i don't know how long it is now or how you want it to be as it grows so i can't give any other suggestions other than wait.

2 weeks is not a very long time if you consider how long you've wanted it longer and how much time you've already invested.

I'm trying to grow my hair out, but have to keep cutting because it starts to look like a mess. Any tips?

Stop cutting it. That bit about trimming it is a myth. If you have breakages or split ends, there are number of things you can do: rub olive oil on your fingers, and run your fingers through the ends of your hair. Use a hot oil treatment. Use mayo in your hair. Feed your body with more vitamins and nutrition so the hair grows better. If you don't like how it looks as it grows out, then put it up. You just have to cope until it is long enough to tie back with a band or a clip, but after that, there are unlimited things to do with putting up short-ish hair.

Professional waxing is what you need. Watch what they do carefully and maybe after a couple of times you can do it yourself. You are not alone. Many women have unwanted hair on their faces.

See a dermatologist. They'll help you out. Likely laser I would think.

You should wax them.. It's very painful but it will give you a very clean look. Or you can try products like NEET but make sure it's ok to put on your face. Good luck.

Help! i am a 22 yr old i have alot of hair down my sideburns what do i do, dont look very feminine any tips?

go to lazer treatment they can tell you or use wax.

Help! i am a 22 yr old i have alot of hair down my sideburns what do i do, dont look very feminine any tips?

My sister has a lot of hair on her sideburns and she uses salley hansen wax strips. you can buy them at walmart or walgreens. they come in a box and the wax is already stuck to 2 pieces of paper. its very easy to do and less painful then hot wax. you can totally tell the difference in her face.

Help! i am a 22 yr old i have alot of hair down my sideburns what do i do, dont look very feminine any tips?

I would wax it (absolutely DON'T shave). Hair growth can be hormone-related and is sometimes able to be regulated with birth control pills, but you should check with your gyno to see if your type of hair growth is hormonal. If waxing gets to be too much for you, check into laser hair removal which is permanent and isn't painful.

Help! i am a 22 yr old i have alot of hair down my sideburns what do i do, dont look very feminine any tips?

All of the answers below are really good. I do as well have to go along with either get them waxed or get lazer removal. Until then if you want to simply hide them wear your hair down. But, that is not a solution so I would either shave them for now until you come up with some money for wax or removal. Good luck

Help! i am a 22 yr old i have alot of hair down my sideburns what do i do, dont look very feminine any tips?

I have exactly the same problem! When I was a teen I tried waxing and even shaving but that always left a 'pale spot' where the hair was. Nowadays, It doesn't really bug me but I do feel more comfortable wearing my hair down...

Help! i am a 22 yr old i have alot of hair down my sideburns what do i do, dont look very feminine any tips?

Whatever you do DONT SHAVE, because it will come back worse. You can wax, but go to a salon the first time, so they can wax the part you need, sometimes girls do it themselves and you can tell, because something doesnt look right. They take too much hair and dont leave enough, or one is not same as the other. The best thing is to go to professional, so they can match. and dont take too much off, because you want it to look natural.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

I am a guy and no expert in salon etiquette. I tip the person who cuts my hair ($6 on a $30 haircut). But what about the woman who washed my hair? Right after my washing seems like an awkward moment to find my wallet, etc. Does my hair-cutter tip out the hair-washer (like the waiter-busboy relationship in a restaurant)? Thanks.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

No, they share...the same as a waitress will share with a busboy.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

The cutter is supposed to share the tip with the washer,

but you never tip the boss of an establishment it is considered rude, so if the boss is cutting your hair tip the hair washer directly

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

No, you don't have to!

You have paid for the service, and that is all should be expected.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

Our salon's hairwasher keeps a little basket by the sink whereby people put in tips. I usually give them a dollar and more or less have that ready when I go for that purpose. Sometimes the beautician or barber who cuts your hair give them a tip. Depends on where you go. I'm sure some people do and some don't.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

This is a great question, but one I don't know the answer to (I don't think I've ever had my hair cut at a place where a different person washes my hair from the person who cuts it). I'm gonna check back for the answer just in case I ever wind up at one of those places.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

you dont have to tip the person who s washing your hair, i use to get my hair done by master hair stylist. you tip the person who is cutting your hair

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

If someone other than my hair dresser washes my hair, I tip her about $2. I wait until the hair dresser is done and I have paid for my cut and tipped her. Then, I find the nice young woman who so carefully washed my hair and give her the money. If she is busy, I ask the hair dresser to give it to her.

I am not sure how it works at other shops, but I have been doing this on my own.

I tip my hair dresser the same as you ($6 for a $30 cut).

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

I guess I have no salon etiquette because unless I am recieving some extra special treatment why should I have to leave a tip.

You are already paying 30 for the cut and the wash is included then the the 6 you leave as a tip if you also tipped the one washing your hair your hair cut would be costing you 40.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

U really should tip the shampoo person but it is not mandatory

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

leave it at the desk and tell the women to give it to the washing person.

Do I have to tip the person who washes my hair?

It depends on where you live; if its a major city, then the answer is YES. I live in NYC and EVERYONE expects a tip. It might be a good idea just to ask, "Is it customary to tip here?" If so, 2-$5 is fine...unless its a fancy salon...

I want to be pippi longstocking this coming haloween, any tips? hw should i fix my hair so it would stick out?

Use a copper wire about three feet long and bend it to fit over your head in the form of the braids she wore. Braid your hair around it and the wire will hold them up.

I want to be pippi longstocking this coming haloween, any tips? hw should i fix my hair so it would stick out?

Try using a sturdy wire in your hair. You can wear it like one of those arrows they make that looks like have been shot through the head. The Pipi in the books always wore an overall-type dress with stripped or wild colored stockings that didn't match and never stayed up.

I want to be pippi longstocking this coming haloween, any tips? hw should i fix my hair so it would stick out?

I got a few ideas!

You can buy loreal color pulse at any drugstore

It will turn your hair copper red until you wash it!

You can put it in two big braids!

And you can make the outfit easy!

as for the freckles any lip liner or eye liner would work or even a brown marker!

heres a picture of her outfit

for her socks you can get two white sox and dye them or marker them but im not too sure how well marker would work lol

good luck sounds like a great costume

To get the braids to stick out, braid your hair around pipe cleaners %26amp; then bend into shape.

My hair is kinda thin and really fine, I want loose/wavey curls that will stay in for a whole night.

After shampooing, try a root volumizer at the crown and both sides of head. Dry hair upside down with blow dryer. Then, put the top half of your hair up in a clip. Work with the bottom layer and curl hair in a spiral direction. Curl each section in a different direction. Finish bottom layer and repeat on top layer. Finally add flexible hairspray.

If your hair is anything like mine, the curl will still tend to fall out, especially at the roots, so I also bring along a small clippie for later in the night...I can at least hide the top half that had gone straight and still have curls at the bottom.

Also, to get a messy wave, shampoo your hair the night before. Do not dry. Put your hair in several loose braids all around your head. Make sure the braids start pretty close to your head and end at the very tip of your hair. The next morning after it feels dry, carefully untwist each braid with your fingers. Do not brush...it will just turn into a frizzy mess. Style it with your fingers and finish with hairspray.

Hope this helps.

use hairspray after drying...curl re spray... it works....

My hair is kinda thin and really fine, I want loose/wavey curls that will stay in for a whole night. Any tips?

Use hot rollers, roll 'em up, spray with hair spray.

Once the rollers have cooled down, undo them and...

use your fingers to "brush" them out--just loosen up the curl a bit, then spritz again with hair spray.

Use an "all day" hairspray, with "touchable hold"...there IS a difference!

I have weird hair- can get very oily/itchy (like after using organic shampoo), & other times qui

If I use stuff for thinning hair (I am starting to get a receding hairline/temple-area hair loss I think from taking accutane) or non-frizz shampoos, or organic/natural stuff, etc. it gets oily in less than a day.

Contrarily, my ends always get very dry and knotted with regular conditioners- which means I need to buy very thick creamy conditioner for my ends (I dont use this on my scalp).

I dunno whats going on...but if you have any clues on what may be wrong or what I may be doing wrong, or have had similar experiences and found a solution, please share.

thanks a mill!

I have weird hair- can get very oily/itchy (like after using organic shampoo), %26amp; other times quite dry. TIPS?

I use organic shampoos and conditioners too. It depends on what's in it. If you feel that your hair is too oily, and it's itchy, look for products that contain Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil is really good for irritated and itchy scalp. Also, Tea Tree has the tendency of drying oily scalps. Give it a try, but continue to shop around.

I have weird hair- can get very oily/itchy (like after using organic shampoo), %26amp; other times quite dry. TIPS?

I too have oily hair. Here's the deal:use baby shampoo, don't massage it into your scalp this agitates the hair folicle producing more oily buildup.Don't condition ever.

I bleached my hair and it left a golden-yellow color to it, and orange on te tips.?

i want almost white hair but i dont want to wait a month untill i dye it again....what can i do?

I bleached my hair and it left a golden-yellow color to it, and orange on te tips.?

just dye it again!!!

I bleached my hair and it left a golden-yellow color to it, and orange on te tips.?

Go to the salon and get it fixed.

I bleached my hair and it left a golden-yellow color to it, and orange on te tips.?

To get almost white hair you have to bleach it to a very pale yellow and then tone it with a violet based toner to cancel the yellow. If you bleach it until it turns white it will promptly proceed to break off. Seek a professional colorists help. If your natural color was very dark you may never get it as light as you think you want it without breaking it off.

Can someone give me tips on how to remove dreadlocks that are 3 to 4 years old from african american

Only way to remove dreads is by cutting them off.......

Can someone give me tips on how to remove dreadlocks that are 3 to 4 years old from african american hair?

You can remove locks. There are several products out there however it does take time and have someone help you. Also there are salons that will remove them for you for a price of $200.00 and higher depending on your hair. But yes locks can be removed with out cutting your hair. Report It

the only way to remove dredlocks is to Shave your hair off and start over agian. sorry that's really the only way I know of.

You can't remove them the hair is "locked" together. You need to cut them off otherwise they will have to stay.

shave....

Can someone give me tips on how to remove dreadlocks that are 3 to 4 years old from african american hair?

I have been putting them in for at least 5 years and a Cosmetologist for 12. They need to be cut at least in half, (off), then you may be able to comb the rest out and you will experience lotsa hair loss...this is completely normal, but the only way to keep some length. Good luck...%26amp; contact me if you wish.

Can someone give me tips on how to remove dreadlocks that are 3 to 4 years old from african american hair?

Good luck, if you want them out without disabling your arm or they person doing it for you then your best bet is to shave it off. sorry.

Can someone give me tips on how to remove dreadlocks that are 3 to 4 years old from african american hair?

cut if off. unrelaxed hair tends to lock-up, and theres not much you can do about that especially if it was intentional and all over.

Can someone give me tips on how to remove dreadlocks that are 3 to 4 years old from african american hair?

Must clipped them off. Can't comb them out.

I have long thick hair that I wear back for work & it hurts my head- plz, any haircut/ style/ pr

I want to keep it as long as possible b/c it looks good and my bf likes it...and I've used thinning shears and done long layers but it only stays light for maybe 2months...very expensive to get a $60 cut every 2 months.

Are there any ways around it like certain products or styles of wearing it out of my face so I look professional in the office, and don't torture my scalp?

Right now it's at about mid-back...I can always take off a few inches if there's NO possible solution, but if there are, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks tons! :)

I have long thick hair that I wear back for work %26amp; it hurts my head- plz, any haircut/ style/ product tips?

I myself have a thick head of hair, and have to thin it too. I find that when I wash my hair the night before and dry it that it's not as puffy or thick the next day, and it's not greasy either. If you take morning showers, try switching them to night showers, and that might stop your hair from hurting when you put it back. What also works is wearing head bands. If you get a haircut with bangs, or short layers at the front this can look very professional, or very casual if you wear it right. In the summer if your hair gets frissy, I hear after washing it if you put it in saltwater, that will also help it stay the way you want it. As for when you tie your hair back, you might want to buy the ties without the visible metal because they don't break as easily, are stretchy, and you don't have to wear your hair back so tight.

I hope this helps :)

my first tip is this WASH YOUR HAIR

broze tones and brown mascara on your eyes..nothing else much is needed.

I have dirty blonde hair and blue eyes full lips... Makeup tips?

Dirty blonde hair? Come on... I'm assuming you don't mean that literally. So -- how about streaking or highlighting your hair. Very subtle, though. Don't want to detract from the blue eyes and the full lips. Lucky you to have those. Other people are paying big bucks to have collagen injections!

I have dirty blonde hair and blue eyes full lips... Makeup tips?

if you have full lips, never use lipliner. just a sheer lipstick or gloss is good enough.

I have dirty blonde hair and blue eyes full lips... Makeup tips?

hair - put lowlights streaks in your blonde hair for a quick update above the blonde look.. great for this summer.

eyes - blue is in this season... it really depends on your look (preppy, goth, emo, etc), so I'm just gonna pick one I think would go with your discription... try MAC fluidline (eyeliner), apply with contour (wedge) brush, dampen the brush %26amp; apply above the upperlash line only, use a soft blue or pink color applied with a shadow brush - wet to the crease (mid-lid) %26amp; dry to the lid closer to lashes (blend well), apply white (maybe even a shiney white) shadow to the lower area at the tear duct part of the center (wet %26amp; with contour brush) %26amp; to the upper lid (below eyebrows) with a shadow brush (wet or dry - experiment %26amp; see which you like better), use a liner one shade lighter then your skin color (if you can't fine, you can use concealer, but apply very lightly with a contour brush) %26amp; apply to your lower lash line (not the inside of your lash line, below it only) - this will make you look more awake (less tired)

cheeks - try no blush.. instead use a bronzer on the areas hit by the sun (forehead, nose, cheekbones, chin) (don't go to dark for your natural skin color)

lips - keep them wet looking, try a lip stain and apply a high shine gloss through-out the day or use a colored lip gloss.. perfect for a pouty look...

this look should be good for normal everyday look... work, depending on your job %26amp; how you have to dress.. but I wouldn't use this look for going out for a night on the town...

I have dirty blonde hair and blue eyes full lips... Makeup tips?

try cool colors like pinks/roses and mauve's/berries for the lips, eye shadow for season colors try soft pastels, stay away from dark heavy shades.

send me a pic of what i should get and/or tell me. which one!!! HELP ME PLZ!!

I have dirty blonde hair and i want ethier streaks or tips,?

definitely go with streaks! the tips look a lot like outgrown roots. If you want to go darker, go with golden brown highlights, if you want lighter, then go with anywhere from a golden blonde to a strawberry blonde, depending on the shade of your hair. good luck!

I've always had fine hair but i dye it like crazy and it's thinned out even more.. any tips?

I use a product found in salons. Nioxin I have been using this system for years and as long a I keep it up, my hair grows faster and healthier. It has really help my very fine hair fill in a little thicker on the sides also.

I just got my hair micro-braided a week ago. Any tips on how to make it last longer? Mousse? Gel?

I have not had them but I would suggest those products that aid to reduce the itching. Although I did not have them(braids) I use the product for the benefits. Here in Louisiana we have the African Pride. There was one I like but can't think of the name brand now. I liked it because it had the "squirt nozzle" did not have to get hands wet.

I just got my hair micro-braided a week ago. Any tips on how to make it last longer? Mousse? Gel?

well I worked in an all black salon and alot of ppl came in for micros. Basicly take good care of them. How long they last also has a lot to do with who did them and there quality of work. I would also mousse them. Try not to wash them that often its been my experience that micros with micro tree lasts longer its a bit more pticy but does last longer. any questions feel free to email

I just got my hair micro-braided a week ago. Any tips on how to make it last longer? Mousse? Gel?

Wash your braids once in 2 weeks. This is very good for your hair as it allows your hair to rest from the chemical contents in shampoos even though some shampoo products say they have little chemical contents, my advice is, it's better to be safe than sorry. Washing your braids every two weeks will allow the braids to retain it's strength and reduce early rough appearance. I must say that braids is one of the very few hair styles that even when it's rough it's still beautiful. Buy a cheap old shampoo if you must as braid extensions gulp lots of it before it lathers.

4: Treat your natural hair below the braids extensions - Use infusium 23 for strengthen. If you can lay your hands on original unprocessed coconut oil the better for your hair and braids.

Coconut oil helps softens yet strengthen and promotes your under growth. It also promotes hair growth. Coconut oil is as strong and solid as coconut itself.

Mousse is also good to use it gives your braid shine and manageability.

Hope this will help...

I just got my hair micro-braided a week ago. Any tips on how to make it last longer? Mousse? Gel?

Keep your fingers out of it, maintain a good hair care routine and go easy on the hair styling.

Keeping your fingers away means not playing with the braids absent-mindedly and less scratching of the scalp (which shouldn't happen if you have a good hair care routine).

Hair care is more than just washing and condioning. Make sure to tone and rinse, too!

Finally, what's nicer than a loose style? Updos can put added tension on your scalp if not done correctly. A loose, protected style (where you have on a loose scarf, bandana or other hair covering accessory) will help the style last longer.

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

What I used to do was first blow-dry it straight with a round brush after washing it. Then i took a straightening iron to tame the frizz and smooth it out so it was nice and silky. And remember, always use a really good conditioner. Straightening your hair can cause a lot of heat damage.

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

You didn't say if your hair was naturally curly or not. This is what I did. I bought a perm and washed my hair with shampoo, then applied the perm solution, combed my hair straight and left it on for as long as the directions said and then rinsed. I have not had a problem since. Good luck.

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

Do you use a flat iron? I do, but yes sometimes it seems to have waves that drive me crazy too. I haven't used it in a while, but it did really help when I took a straightening perm and used it. You use a comb to comb through your hair while it activates, then neutralize as with any other perm. It's only about $5, and takes about 45 minutes all together. Give it a try!

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

Use a professional ceramic flat iron. Be careful with the heat setting so as not to scorch your hair. Ceramic makes it much straighter than metal.

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

Get the Chi iron. It works great and it won't damage your hair.

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

A GOOD flat iron from Sallys beauty store....don't even wasted your money on one from walmart! Also, use dove straightening cream on damp hair when you use the iron.....I have very fine and limp hair, but I still get a funky wave that makes my hair not look as straight as I would like. Oh, and when shopping for the iron, ask a sales person to help you get the right size. If you use an iron that is too big for your hairstyle it will leave a funky dent after straightening.

I love straight hair but can never get mine as straight as I閳ユ獓 like it to be. Any tips?

try Redkin Straight

GHD IT BABY!

I'm using a hair straightner for the first time, any tips?

SMALL sections at a time... and if you have LOTS of hair, that's curly or kinky or wavy, you might want to spend a pretty penny on a ceramic straightener.... the cheap ones dont work on my hair, and mines not curly or anything, just really fluffly lol

I'm using a hair straightner for the first time, any tips?

1. NEVER press down heard. If you do, you might set a fire, or you may damage your hair.

2. Go slowly down your hair, but dont press down hard.

I'm using a hair straightner for the first time, any tips?

Don't use it a lot

Cause i have one and use to straighten my hair a lot and now my hair is messed up

I'm using a hair straightner for the first time, any tips?

Never keep the straightner on one spot %26amp; move down-that burns your hair.

If you are going to use it a lot, make sure you use leave-in conditioner to help protect your hair.

Don't buy a cheap one, the more money you spend on one, the better the result.

Don't straighten your hair while it's wet. Even if the straightner says "Wet-to Dry", it still damages your hair.

If your hair is extremely curly or wavy, blow dry it first %26amp; then straighten it.

I would recommend that you use a good leave-in conditioner %26amp; some kind of frizz control oil.

I'm using a hair straightner for the first time, any tips?

use 2 inch thick pieces of hair.

apply even pressure throughout or youll get kinks

use a shine spray to set it

only straighten ur hair 1-2 times a week 3x at most!

what works for me really well even with a cheap iron, is to have a fine tooth comb and slowly comb through hair following through closely behind with the iron.

use these tips and u cant go wrong!

I just got my hair cut into a bob. Any hairstyle tips. It is very layered in the back!?

go to walmart or any local store and buy pantine style goop. just blow dry your hair and put it in your hair and run your fingers through it make it kind of messy. it looks great like that.

I just got my hair cut into a bob. Any hairstyle tips. It is very layered in the back!?

If it's cut in a bob with layers, I would suggest getting a wax/pomade and using it on the bottom of your hair for a piecy textured look. You can also get some of the John Freida beach texturizer to just spray in for a piecy look.

I just got my hair cut into a bob. Any hairstyle tips. It is very layered in the back!?

Go the Dorothy Hamill style. Its flattering. you may also want to wear a scarf/ribbon around the top part and ending under the back of your head. Its hard to explain it! Sorry

I just got my hair cut into a bob. Any hairstyle tips. It is very layered in the back!?

use a flat iron and flip all the layers out. like this http://www.womensbeautylife.com/gallery/...

I have thin, straight hair, and want to do it curly without it going flat at the top. Any tips??

my hairs just like yours, and the best way to get it curly depends on whether you wash your hair at night b4 you go 2 bed, or id you do it in the morning.

night b4: when your hairs a still a bit damp, but not soaking wet, put it in pig tails, and then twist each pig tail into a bun. put an elastic over each 1 to hold them in place. you'll look like pricess laya but who cares?! in the morning, take them out and sererate the two giant curls with your fingers. use volumising mousse to hold in the curls. put your head upside down and blow dry the rootsfor lift. put abit of hairsray in

morning. dry your roots upside down and use mousse/hairspray. use a big barrel curler.

the night one looks more complicated but it saves soooo much time in the morning, and once you get used to the buns, you can do them in seconds.

I have thin, straight hair, and want to do it curly without it going flat at the top. Any tips??

One word..."WIG"

I have thin, straight hair, and want to do it curly without it going flat at the top. Any tips??

Layer cut so that it is shorter on top and can hold smaller curls closer to your head and around the face.

I have thin, straight hair, and want to do it curly without it going flat at the top. Any tips??

if u want to create curls beginning with wet or damp hair, have u tried curling mousse thats non-drying-alcohol free. also before hand, dont use conditioner that weighs hair down. try a lite one that gives lift and volume w/o being greasy. if none works then only condition the ends. but use a good hydrating/moisturizing shampoo first. Alternatives:try curling shampoos and conditioners

I have thin, straight hair, and want to do it curly without it going flat at the top. Any tips??

Try washing it at night and adding a little bit of mousse when it's still damp. It should hold curl a little bit better the next morning.

I have thin, straight hair, and want to do it curly without it going flat at the top. Any tips??

if your hair is layered you have a better chance of getting the curls to hold... but before you blow dry it put some volumizing mousse on the roots to help have body... as for keeping the curls... if your hair usually can't keep them then LOTS OF HAIRSPRAY is your best bet... good luck

It is normal to lose little hair. But your case I don't know.

I m loosing my hair day by day .i m 28 yr male pls give me some tips?

Well try the foam rogaine or the rogain shampoo i know some people that use it and they say it works. Soo give it a try.

I m loosing my hair day by day .i m 28 yr male pls give me some tips?

stop wearing hats if you do. this increases hair loss. I am not sure of anything that really works at stopping loss or growing hair

I m loosing my hair day by day .i m 28 yr male pls give me some tips?

Don't put any chemicals on your hair, like oil or gel, (oil, keeps your scalp warm, not really good) Don't wear hats too. Here in philippines, there's a lot of celebrity using horse shampoo(i'm serious) its Maine 'n Tail. It help their hair, shiny, thick and strong.

I m loosing my hair day by day .i m 28 yr male pls give me some tips?

Hi Guru,

For hair loss medical treatments have recently become available that may help some people. One treatment involves applying a lotion, minoxidil, to the scalp twice a day. Another treatment for men is a daily pill containing finasteride, a drug that blocks the formation of the active male hormone in the hair follicle. But drugs for hair fall should only be taken after consultation with the doctor, since they might not be suitable under certain conditions and some of them may also have serious side effects. As far as the environmental factors are concerned, diet plays a very important part. You should see to it that you take a diet rich in Vitamin B-complex and proteins. Too much of stress and pollution may also be a cause of your problem. You should see to it that your scalp is not kept dirty for long.

I m loosing my hair day by day .i m 28 yr male pls give me some tips?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

My hair is sooo freakin pin straight. whenever i want to curl it, it straightens out by itself. any

i don't like using curling irons and the look i'm really looking for is kinda wavy or with loose large rings of curls. i dont' want tight curls. help?

My hair is sooo freakin pin straight. whenever i want to curl it, it straightens out by itself. any tips?

I have the exact same problem. I started using hot rollers. I put them in and insured it with hairspray. it stays for while but I live in the humidity of houston and it never holds up well. BUTTTT...my mother has old perm rods from an at-home perm kit..

here's what I do: Take a section and starting at the root, coil your hair neatly around the rod and secure it in place.

Spritz your entire head with hairspray when you've your whole head done.

This gives tighter curls but since you have that straightening problem..the curls loosen out on their own.. and by the time youve gotten all the rods out..they should be looser curls.

My hair is sooo freakin pin straight. whenever i want to curl it, it straightens out by itself. any tips?

if you go to the salon they'll probably have the type of perm you want .... if they don't than i don't know what to tell you ...

My hair is sooo freakin pin straight. whenever i want to curl it, it straightens out by itself. any tips?

I have the same problem and I have been told by a hairdresser that even if I got a perm, it would probably just go straigh anyway...

Use lotsa hairspray and teasing and that will help to make it stay a little but if your like me your destined to have straight hair 4eva

ALOT OF HAORSPRAY.......... THAT WILL SECURE THE CURLS :]

I have black hair and want to dye it dark burgundy. What's the best hairdye? Got any tips?

L'OREAL IS THE BEST!

I LOVE THEIR 'SUPERIOR PREFERENCE' HAIRCOLOURS.

I have black hair and want to dye it dark burgundy. What's the best hairdye? Got any tips?

Try, Jazzin hair rinse to see if you like the color. You can choose from all types of burgandies and reds. You can find it at Sally's Beauty Supply store.

I have black hair and want to dye it dark burgundy. What's the best hairdye? Got any tips?

It may not work, but i've used garnier fructis to bleach my hair. If you dyed you hair black, this wouldn't work, but if your hair is naturaaly black it should be fine. I got medium natural blonde for my hair, and it turned it light/medium brown, so id suggest a darker color. If you look on the side of the box, it shows typical results, and those are usually correct for whatever the beginning color was.

Otherwise, go to a salon..

I have black hair and want to dye it dark burgundy. What's the best hairdye? Got any tips?

try loreal preference. it makes the colour come out even. it's great, i've got dark hair and i use that. no need for bleach or anything else.

I have black hair and want to dye it dark burgundy. What's the best hairdye? Got any tips?

On black hair it probably won't work. You would need to lighten it to a dark brown first so that you can see the red pigment. it's like using a red marker on a piece of black construction paper. it just won't show.

I have black hair and want to dye it dark burgundy. What's the best hairdye? Got any tips?

i used the herbal essence burgandy and it left the color real nice plus my hairs black too good luck

Quick%26amp;Easy has hair dye meant for people with dark hair. Try looking into that.

My hair is soooooo flat i have no fun what so ever with it plz give me some tips!?

Use a hair stiffener on your roots only, then hang your head upside down to blow dry it. After blow drying, let it cool before brushing or combing it, if at all.

Using a hair pick or lift, you can also lift up sections of your hair, spray the roots with hairspray, and then blow dry where you just sprayed to set the hairspray. Don't comb or brush through.

Dampen your hair before going to bed, tip your head over, twist your hair then pin it in a bun on top of your head and leave overnight. Let it down in the morning but only use your fingers to straighten it a little. Fluff, lift, and spray a few areas for extra head tossing power.

Hair stylist tipping for wedding ?

Hi! I'm having a local (California wine country) hair stylist do my hair and makeup for my wedding. The package cost $450.00. It includes a 3.5 hour trial or preview and the day of the wedding hair %26amp; makeup. They aren't traveling more than 5-10 minutes to the location. It's one person doing the whole thing and she's scheduled 3 hours to complete my look on the wedding day.

Should I tip her? Is $40 too cheap? In my opinion the price of $450 is pretty steep for what she's going to do... so I just would like other's opinions.

Thanks!

Hair stylist tipping for wedding ?

I would call around and see how much stylist in that area charge for updos and makeup. Coming to your location and getting two updos and makeup done - thats probably the going rate. If she is independent - Id say tip her $50. IF she works for a salon, Id say more. She is only getting a percentage of that and the tip is soley hers

I have curly hair that gets dry in winter. any tips on keeping it healthy?

i moisturize it in the shower and spray in a moisturizer already...

I have curly hair that gets dry in winter. any tips on keeping it healthy?

all i can reccomend id using a deep conditioning treatment evrytime you wash and try not to overload it with products. when using heated straighteners or appliances always use a heat protector spray.

I have curly hair that gets dry in winter. any tips on keeping it healthy?

You don't need to wash it every day (use your judgement here--if you get sweaty at work or dirty or dusty then yeah, wash away). Try not to blow it dry or flat iron it, the extra heat is bad. Use a moisturizing conditioner, a deep conditioner, or a leave in conditioner.

I have curly hair that gets dry in winter. any tips on keeping it healthy?

Since the weather is very dry in winter.u don't have to wash your hair every day.Once in 2 days is enough unless you sweat alot. U can try using leave-in conditioners or olive oil to keep your hair mosturised.

I have curly hair that gets dry in winter. any tips on keeping it healthy?

Run a small amount of hair glosser through your hair, don't use to much though. You can find some good ones at Sally Beauty Supply. I use to work there.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on maki

I would appreciate it if you have actually tried it and it works. THANKS!!

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

When i was younger the only way I could make my hair wavy and stay wavy, was have my Mom put a little mousse or gel in wet hair, then braid it in 4 sections. Sleep overnight with the braids, then remove the braids in the morning and ta-da wavy hair!!! This will work for you- no doubt :)

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

try getting it crimbted

My neice has the same problem. She wets her hair at night, braids it in small braids all over her head, then in the morning it is wavy when she takes the braids out. It might work even better if you put gel on it before you braid it.

Good luck.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

Try getting a body wave at a salon.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

try a loose perm or get a curling iron with 3 prongs... it takes some skill to use this so dont expect to get it on your first try just experiment with it.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

after washing hair put some gel in it, divide hair into two or four sections and braid each section tight, tie at ends and let dry.

when you undo the braids it should be wavy!!

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

same here. what sort of works for me is if i braid it at night when its damp, but it cant be dripping wet or it will still be wet when you take the braid out in the morning. in the summer though, i dont even try getting it to do anything special. my ponytail holder is practically fused to my hair.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

my hair is relaxed, which has rendered it totally bone straight. When I want a little wave, after washing I'll twist or plait (braid) it into semi skinny braids or twosts, let them dry overnight and take them out in the morning. Finger comb to separate, with some sort or mud/putty/texturizing wax on your fingertips. This will keep it from getting frizzy and messy. I like Manipulator by Bed Head, it's in a little blue jar. Set the ends on small rollers/rods to keep them from being straight and looking messy. It also helps keep the twists/braids from unraveling.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

My hair is really wavy and frizzy so i've never tried it, but i use a relaxer by optimum care to make my hair straight, and it works really well, so i think this product by them to make your hair curly or wavy. i think i will probably work since all the other products from the brand i use work well. otherwise, you could get a crimper and put crimps in your hair to make it as wavy as you would like.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

You could go to a salon with a good reputation and get what is called a "body perm". For a shampoo and conditioner I would recommend using Nioxin or Redkin. They don't exactly put waves in your hair but they make it healthier and stronger.

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

A curly perm can make straight hair curl or wave just as a relaxer can make curly or wavy hair behave straight.I had a polish teacher in elementary school who had straight brown hair(Pretty in a proper non-sassy way). One day she came to school with a head full of fablous eyecatching curls, just like Olivia Newton John in the movie GREASE.It looked FAB! It'll grow out

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

try putting your hair in braids before you go to bed and take them out in the morning

I have brown hair and it is totally straight with no waves at all. Does anyone have any tips on making it wavy

You don't say how long or short your hair is. I'm American Indian so I have very straight hair. If I want waves, and I do quite often, I braid my hair after showering. I do this in the evening so my hair will be dry in the morning. Take out the braids and you'll have your waves.

I have long hair so one braid does me fine, but you could do 2.

It might not be the water that's actually turning your hair red, but it could be that the pipes are rusty, and that comes with the water. the first thing to try is to clean those pipes and see if the water is still rusty. try using the shower instead of water directly from the tap. I'm positive its the pipes, and to clean those, just go to any store and buy some CLR, or other pipe cleaning products. If that doesn't work, they keep water filters at certain home stores that filter out the bad and only give you fresh water. you could check places like wal-mart, or home depot, or any place that sells home renovation supplies.

hope i helped :)

P.S. It's best to get help when cleaning the pipes, dont want chemicals on yourself, that or be careful.

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care o

help i need beauty tips but i cant were make up until i am older soo dont say make up i can were like nailpolish or really cute lips stick or gloss u can say what guys likes in a girls personality too know!

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

I'd stick to matching your polish color to what you wear, that always looks cool, I do that all the time and I'm 43 lol, but what's inside you should be what is important, your inner beauty. What is going to attract a guy is how you act, your kindness, your sense of humor, your smile. Guys want to feel comfortable in your presence, if you can laugh and smile and talk comfortably about alot of things that's going to win them over.

For your hair, I had really long curly puffy strawberry blonde hair as a kid, it was really sucky because most everyone had cool straight hair and I hated mine. I dyed it more blonde as an adult. You don't realize it now but we curly puffy haired people are blessed. When you are older and have life experience you'll see so many things we can do with our hair!

One trick I used to do in school was use the straightners, they are like flat irons, you can get one in Walmart for maybe $7.00 these days pretty cheap, they were $30.00 back in my days from the 80's. You can take a big round metal vented brush too and when you blow dry your hair pull it around the brush to straighten it, the larger the brush the more straight your hair. One thing I used to do was make waves, I'd take a ton of pony tail holders and put them on my hair overnight all up and down it, some wear that style now for daytime but I used to wet my hair and leave them on overnight and in morning take them out and my hair was straighter but had cool waves in it. There's all sorts of gels and mousses and sprays out now that you can use to hold a style too.

Win a guy over with your smile. Someone that doesnt like you cause you have puffy or big hair isnt worth worrying about and I am sure if you arent old enough to wear make up then you should be worrying about other things instead of boys.

You got many years ahead to think of them....

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

Try curling your hair or scrunching it, it閳ユ獟l look great. Trust me, big hair works great with curls, and it閳ユ獟l curl naturally.

Get some moose and work it though damp hair. Scrunch or curl your hair. Spray a little hairspray, and viola! Instant hair fix.

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

If you can't were makeup then don't wear lipstick, lip gloss will look better because it will give it an even look. You try straightening your hair, because that will help you get it less puffy and longer. You shounld ask your parents if you can wear like a really lite eye shadow to bring out your eyes a little. I would know alot about this because I'm working on becoming a beautition and have had alot of experiance with makeup.

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

Step #1. Start by using a conditioner on your hair.

Step #2. Dry it well, using a towel and putting it flat and in a keep. This should help you straighten your hair and make it soft and more tangible.

Step #3. Get either shaping gel, calming serum or a hair styling gel of your choice, and spread it gently through your hair.

Step #4. Take out the hairdryer, making sure you use a big round hair-brush, insuring that you keep the tip of the dryer pointing downwards, in a parallel direction of your hair.

Step #5. Once you have done the above, and insured that your hair if as flat as they could be, now comes time to use the any hair iron!*

I think that using a metal hair brush and take sections of hair (a little at a time)and once all the hair is dry take small sections when straighting it!

.

Even when curly hair is wanted, if a hairstyle is to look trendy and 閳ユ笅n,閳?the hair must be completely straightened first, then curled. This way of curling allows the hair to have large and flowing curls, as opposed to permed-looking hair with tight curls.

Good luck louxxx

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

Darlin' I think you have it backwards. What does a guy have to do so that you like him? Decide on what you want from a guy, and focus on that. A nice smile, direct eye-contact, and decent conversation are some good starts. If he's not interested, forget about him. Find someone else.

The simple truth is: guys are more interested in girls than girls are interested in guys.

And don't push too hard. You have lots of time when you are older -- this is just for fun and for practice.

The basics are: keep clean, wash your face two or three times a day, brush your teeth, put on a light (but not too smelly) body splash, and comb your hair whenever you have a break. And smile!

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

Well first of all, you shouldn't think that just because guys don't like you that there's something wrong with your hair or your appearance. Maybe you have to adjust your personality. Always be confident (or act confident, even if you aren't) and be outgoing, that's the first step.

If you have curly hair, like ringlets or something close to mine (http://i7.tinypic.com/2sbsccl.jpg) then don't brush it. I know it might sound gross and wierd, but it's really not. Use mousse on damp hair and just lightly brush it out with your hands. It should look really nice.

I remember when I was smaller all the girls were obsessed with always wearing different lip glosses and stuff, but now Irealize that we don't need all that. I just like to stick to clear lip gloss and that's it. I love the way it looks.

Hope I helped.

What are some beauty tips for guys to like u ( i have really puffy or big hair ) hard to take care of?

just be yourself because if you dont they wont like you so heres one tip boys like smart girls so study a lot

I have straighten my hair two years ago, it becm frizzy.how to get back the softness n tips to grow?

The way your hair grows is at the roots, like if you were pulling a strand of rope out of a bucket. The "tip" of the rope doesn't change in any way as the rope gets longer, you just get "new rope" at the base, near the bucket.

When the ends of your hair are really damaged, you can either use something to temporarily hide the damage or you can cut them off; unlike skin, the tips of your hair aren't growing so they don't heal.

I have straighten my hair two years ago, it becm frizzy.how to get back the softness n tips to grow?

Use conditioner after every wash. You may also want to try applying olive oil to the ends of your hair every now and then. I heard it makes hair shiny and smooth.

I have straighten my hair two years ago, it becm frizzy.how to get back the softness n tips to grow?

u should have thick twice before doing rubbish experiment on ur self . god has given natural beauty u should have . thank god for that u idiot

I have straighten my hair two years ago, it becm frizzy.how to get back the softness n tips to grow?

Well, you can't actually make hair grow, but you can stimulate the scalp to increase circulation. That will promote growth. To do that get or give yourself a scalp massage. Try using a good conditioner for the massage on wet hair, this will also help you get the softer hair you want. Biolage閳?Ultra-Hydrating Balm by biolage is a salon product that makes the hair very soft, as is redkin butter treat, Softsheen Carson Breakthrough Revitalizing Conditioner is actually recommended for african american hair, but I use it daily %26amp; it is amazing! It makes my hair softer %26amp; more manageable, %26amp; also helps with frizz. Most important you should be using an anti-frizz serum. My favorite is FX SPECIAL EFFECTS Silk Drops. It works great at a greeat price!

I have straighten my hair two years ago, it becm frizzy.how to get back the softness n tips to grow?

Straightened how ? If you use relaxer the only way is to cut the ends . about an inch . Once there is a chemical added to your hair (color , perm , relaxer ) it will always be there . If you hot iron , a cat treatment under the dryer will help . Don't forget too , that once you have dead ends(frizzes ) you will always have hem . they continue to break off . This is why you think your hair isn't growing . Again a good trim ,, until you get the results you want . Sometimes it's good to trim one inch ever six to eight weeks . You should start to see improvements in 6 months .

I have straighten my hair two years ago, it becm frizzy.how to get back the softness n tips to grow?

first, get a trim at the hair dresser's, then ask if they can straighten it. do this every 3-4 months

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using

is it like a straightener? if so just pin some of ur hair up and straighjten that then let some down and straighten that and so on till its all straight

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

there are special lotions to put on first so you don't burn it

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

use straightening shampoo to protect your hair from being fried!

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

You could you some smoothing balm and blow dry your hair straight down because if you hang your head over and blow dry it like that-it gives it MORE volume

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

yeah grab like a little bit of hair at once like less than an inch thick and put ur hair in the straightener and let it pass by its simple girl!

oh and do it in sections and if u have frizzes them use a serum

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

If you pull it half back, then straighten what's left, then let the rest of it down and straighten that, then it is a lot easier to get it all done. Also, since your hair is thick, put it on the highest heat setting available %26amp;%26amp; give it a few minutes to heat up.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

I have the same problem. I bought this spray that is called Beyond the Zone Turn Up The Heat Flat Iron Protection. It works so good. Another tip is don't try to flat iron a lot of hair a once, use small sections of hair.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

ALWAYS use a leave in conditioner and a smoothing serum. Both will protect your hair from the heat. ( some of those irons are close to 240 degrees) Also the smoothing serum locks out humidity allowing the style to last longer.

Also when using the iron section the hair off and only smooth a section anout an inch thick and 2 inches wide. This will ensure even smoothing.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

just do the top layer of ur hair or it will look greasy.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

dont iron it when its wet.....buy some hair lotion put it on ur hair when its still wet not soaking wet but wet......then blow dry ur hair until its complete dry then hair starting from the bottom up....my mom does hair i've watched her do it a milllion times.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

Do overuse it, your hair will become very fired and/or resistant to to. It can also make yourself very dry and damaged if overused. Divide your hair it pieces while using it, you will get better results it you do it that way.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

Always remember that your hair must be completely dry before using anything hot and electrical. You can buy a blow drier that has the brush and comb as an extension and use it gently to straighten the hair. After your hair is completely dry, take the iron with the comb edge and gently allow the hair to glide through the comb and twist the comb so that the back of the comb is actually smoothing the hair. Don't forget to use some type of hair creme to protect it during the pressing. Remember: it's the back of the comb that smooths the hair and the heat that allows it to relax the natural curl.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

First make sure your hair is dry because it can break of if it is wet. Get one inch pieces on the top layer of your hair, then once the top layer is done try doing the middle layer. Once you have gotten as much as you can do, bend over and flip your hair upside down, this is the best way to get the bottom layer and back of your hair.

I have mid lenght hair and very thick, i bought an iron thing to make it nicer .. any tips on using it?

be sure to use a protecting product before putting the iron to your hair; most are spray ons that you use prior to putting the iron to your hair. also, be sure to iron in small sections, starting as close to the root as possible. use the coolest heat setting that works for your hair

I want to apply my own hair highlights. Can someone tell me how to do this? Give me some tips.?

I am sitting with a hairdresser while I write this and she says that you should NOT do it yourself because in the end you will spend more when you will HAVE TO go to a hairdresser to fix what problem you caused yourself. If you have a friend that gets highlights and is happy with her hair, go to her hairdresser. Good Luck!

I want to apply my own hair highlights. Can someone tell me how to do this? Give me some tips.?

check out the website www.clairol.com

Please don't -- go to a trained professional. Why take a chance?

I want to apply my own hair highlights. Can someone tell me how to do this? Give me some tips.?

i dunno i also reccomend going to a hairdresser but i dunno alot of my friends do it themselves but they have someone else do it well like... a best friend but someone u wont hate if they screw up

I want to apply my own hair highlights. Can someone tell me how to do this? Give me some tips.?

if you don't know how to do it ... go to someone who does ... you'll save yourself a lot of heartache ... after watching a pro you MIGHT attempt it at home ...

I want to apply my own hair highlights. Can someone tell me how to do this? Give me some tips.?

draw how you want it to look like, show it do a barber, s/he will do it for u. i wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you r a barber...

I want to apply my own hair highlights. Can someone tell me how to do this? Give me some tips.?

STOP YOURSELF PLEASE!!!! That would be the equivalent of doing surgery on yourself. Go to a professional. Never mind that you will have to pay more but that is the price of beauty!

My Natural hair color is dirty blonde i dyed it a light medium auburn color. the tips are turning...

dirty blonde lighter then the top and I was wondering is it ok if I dye my hair from auburn lookin hair to brown? like a light brown or so ? or would it go absoultey wrong?

My Natural hair color is dirty blonde i dyed it a light medium auburn color. the tips are turning....?

Using too much color can destroy your hair, especially if it's not done right. It may be time to see a professional hairstylist. Just make sure you let him or her know what all you have done to your hair so far.

Good luck!

ymmf

My Natural hair color is dirty blonde i dyed it a light medium auburn color. the tips are turning....?

i think it would work fine. but i would try to go for a darkerbrown and then maybe later on try to lighten it up because if you go to just light brown the color will probabley fade back to what you had easily and it wont look really good.

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

The cahier or the hairdresser?

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

Hairdresser.

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

You can give a tip to the cashier and ask them to give it to the hairdresser on your behalf. You might also want to tip the shampoo person.

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

I always give it to the hairdresser

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

the person who cut ur hair duh?

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

The stylist, usually you give him or her 10% of the total

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

You give the hair tips and style preference to the hairdresser. the cashier cant do anything about your hair, and since yourr hairdressers the one actually styling it you tell them what you want done. to get even more specific bring in a pic to show your hairdresser what kind of cut you want. oh wait the tip for the cut sorri, but you also give that to your hairdresser since thats their personal earnings.

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

i always give it to the person who works with the hair most places the hairdresser and the shampooer ae the same so tip the person who has the highest chance of accidently fuccing up your hair they care and cashiers may not always take the tip to the cutter so yeah and personally handing them the tip where they see your face helps them remember you and if you tip good then they will treat you better the more you go in

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

I am a receptionist in a hair salon. Most of the time people will give the tips to the sylists themselves. Its not wrong so to speak if you give it to the receptionist. Its just nice to give it to the stylist personally. And they appreciate it that way too.

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

THE PERSON WHO DOES YOUR HAIR ~THE HAIRSTYLIST~

In a hair salon, who do you give the tips to?

Either or. You can hand it to the stylist after he/she is done-just hand it to them and say thank you as you are leaving, or you can give it to the receptionist and they can give it to them. I work at a salon and all of the stylists have tip cups behind the desk and the clients usually just tell me to give this to so and so %26amp; I stick it in their cup.

If its a temporary dye I would actually try sticking it out til its all washed out rather than putting more dye over it which cant really be too good for your hair, otherwise, if you're desperate to get it sorted I suggest you go to a professional. It may cost more than to DIY but at least the final results will be something you're pleased with... whatever you decide, good luck x x x

I dyed my hair blonde but disater struck....lol its now gone orange any1 with any useful tips how i can solve?

all home colours go orange , you havent left the colour on long enough , the only thing you can do is go and get it fixed proffesionaly or go get a darker hair dye to go over it only thing is that you will have to get a colour that has a red in it like a chestnut colour if you dont put the red back in your hair will go green

I dyed my hair blonde but disater struck....lol its now gone orange any1 with any useful tips how i can solve?

I agree w/the hairdresser below-this is not a task for an amateur. My hair has been green (not on purpose, either) and orange. You could also put in a call to the company on the back of the box, but if it were my hair I'd get to a GOOD corrective colorist ASAP. It will likely be expensive, but they can fix your hair well. I would not suggest coloring it again, as you could cause further damage or worse - breakage to your hair. Good luck!

I dyed my hair blonde but disater struck....lol its now gone orange any1 with any useful tips how i can solve?

whenever these types of situations occur, i just buy a black rinse to cover it up. rinses won't harm your hair

I dyed my hair blonde but disater struck....lol its now gone orange any1 with any useful tips how i can solve?

This has happened to me so many times! Though through trial and error my mistakes are less now.

Because I choose wrong shade...washed it out too soon before its lightened past a yellowy /orange tinge. It always looks lighter in your hair as bleach solution is white. So rinsing it out too early is common.

Vosene, Head and shoulders, shampoos are great for fading hair dye out a bit. Otherwise i recommend highlights on top sections of hair..

Wash hair as many times as poss in next 48 hours with ideally these shampoos while hair cuticle still open. You could always use washing up liquid I think that would strip colour too, though youd have to really condition hair after!!

Good luck!!

I dyed my hair blonde but disater struck....lol its now gone orange any1 with any useful tips how i can solve?

well go to a hairdresser..maybe she can strip it out. or bleach it..or dye it dark again. most likely ur hair was dark rite?

Put a temporary or "rinse" color over it

You just didn't lighten it enough that's all.

My hair is dirty blonde but i want it a little blonder, any tips or anything?

I don't really want to get highlights cuz one time i said i wanted highlights and the lady dyed ALL my hair an ugly red!!Luckly that washed out. But i think I'd look good with blonde highlights cuz i was reely reely reely blonde until i was about 7 and now im 13 and its like dirty blonde.

is there any natraul (sorry i dunno how to spell it) ways to get blonde highlights ? or ways for the sun to highlight it more?

My hair is dirty blonde but i want it a little blonder, any tips or anything?

No, You have to go to the salon and tell them you want highlights but not red BLONDE......good luck!!!........

My hair is dirty blonde but i want it a little blonder, any tips or anything?

some people put lemon juice and honey in their hair to make it lighter. actually someone asked about putting lemon in their hair to make it lighter so you could search it off Yahoo Answers.

My hair is dirty blonde but i want it a little blonder, any tips or anything?

Lemon juice works really well, or you can try sun-in but people I know who have tried sun-in didn't like it.

My hair is dirty blonde but i want it a little blonder, any tips or anything?

Um i have heard that if u put lemon juice in your hair and go out in the sun it will make it brighter. And also i would use one of those highlight activating shampoo's...like john frieda ot pantene.
