How can i straighten my hair without getting those flicks at the tips?

Sometimes when I straighten my hair, no matter how many times I go over it, It's still a bit wavy and I get those flicks at the bottom? HOW DO I AVOID THIS? Its really annoying! And I dont have split ends or anything and I use a Nicky Clarke ceramic straightener so what's the problem?

Try and use a starightening gel on your hair. it protects it from the heat which is probably the cause of the flicks. superdrug have loads.

Use a smaller section of hair when straightening and also dont clamp the plates too hard

It閳ユ獨 because of the way you pull it at the ends. You may think you閳ユ獧e pulling straight down, but you閳ユ獧e actually flipping it a bit at the bottom.

try to use a different straightener and use some hair lotion or something similar to that. or go get it done by a professional at least once to see if it happens. im sure they use the best straighteners, if it happens then its not the straightener u r using but your hair is just like that.

this is a tricky one but make sure your straightners are really hot, and then apply heat defence. move the straigtners slowly down your hair, combing at the same time... if this does'nt work try applying some hair syrum to smoothe out the flicks. you could even consider getting ghd's, they're not cheap, but they last and its worth it!
