I am planning to dye the ends of my hair red.

Want to dye about 10 cm of hair. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

Just put dye on the end of your hair, that ought to do the trick.

either use a dye brush and foils, or just do it free hand with a brush.

Get a pot of dye, then dip in the ends.

You don't say what your current color is, so it's kind of hard to answer, but IMHO, you could use ponytail ties to rope off the lengths, then apply just below the ties. That should keep it where you want it. No problem if your hair is light, but if it is dark, you might want to use a color that will lighten up your base color, too. Loreal makes one for brunettes, but not sure about any others. Good luck.
