Whats the best way to get My hair the curliest?

I have curly hair but its starting to die out! :-( whats the best way to get it back into its body and bounce and any other cool curly hair styling tips would be great.

I've got it too.

The #1 thing is moisture. Moisture creates body in curly hair.

Use curl uplifting products, but use cream based ones. Gel based ones will make your curls crunchy and stringy.

I use Garnier Fructis. All of their curl cream products are amazing. Just rub it in after a shower, flip your head upside down, shake, and you're ready to go!

Hang upside down by your ankles, then have your hairdresser just whack it off even about 9 inches below the crown of your skull.

Rag curls will give you the Lil Orphan Annie look, if you want it that curly. Divide your damp hair into strands, spiral the hair around a long rag, then roll up the rag and tie it in a bow. Let it set for at least a couple of hours, or under a dryer. Works best if you put a light hair setting gel in it first.

buy a curl and wash shampoo at kroger and get some garnier fructis mousse for curls

Moisturize it like crazy!!!

One thing I do with my daughters curly hair is getting it wet with hot water---as hot as you can handle while it is still dripping wet put wash out conditioner in it. Saturate it in wash out conditioner. Wrap a warm wet towel around it and leave it like that overnight.

In the morning rinse the conditioner out. It gives the same effect as a hair salons oil treatment!

We do this once a week when her hair is really bad!!!

Use products such as frizz ease that are made for curly hair. Or for ethnic hair.

Also do not brush it too much! Use a pick or a comb most often or if you can get away with styling it with your fingers do that!

Get a trim if your hair is fairly long (if you want to keep your length just trim 1/2 an inch off).

When freshly washed and still very damp put a fair amount of mousse in it - I prefer 'Down Under Naturals Mousse because it's light and keeps your hair soft feeling. Stay away from gels cause the tend to be heavy, leavy your hair crusty and don't spread as well. The only Gel I'd recommend is a spray in type from 'Fructis' for curly hair/spirals.

Buy yourself a difusser - it goes on the end of your blow dryer (round, has several holes and spikes to spread hair and make sure the air circulates better. Blow dry upside down to help with volume (it'll die down a little after a few minutes and you can style with pins and stuff.) Make sure you blow dry on the lower setting, the high one is faster but it tends to frizz your hair more.

If you want really good hold, especially for a special function, use lots of mouse, spray in gel and secure into place with hair spray.
