Don't pay attention to the rich people who can just whip out money constantly to get their hair done... I highlight my hair every few months with a cap... and it comes out WONDERFUL... I love it!... The only thing you have to be cautious of... is not pulling enough hair out... or melting your hair... be sure to check your hair every few minutes to make sure it is not melting it... By yourself? Call a professional and ask them how much it would cost to do it (even if you aren't willing to spend that much at a salon) and ask how will you have to come in (clean hair, dirty)?

AGHHHHHH---- WAIT! Don't do it yourself, caps are very hard to use, have you ever seen the gals in the salons using them? Not so much --- call a salon and see what their prices are for a Foil Weave -- some salons have discount days or coupons -- but you will get what you pay for and not ruin your hair. Trust me : )

OMG don't do it. i have seen people do this so many times with the most disastrous results. you can't tell with a cap where the highlights will be, and you have roots instantly, and usually the highlights come out unevenly, and you wind up with yellow and orange ones. call a professional

comb your hair the way you part it usually, before you put the cap on, that way the hair you pull out, will be in the area, where it should be

if you have short hair the caps great for you but if you have long hair it's really bad for your hair and it's going to take HOURS!
